All dependents on your personal annual mileage.charles1976 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 02, 2019 3:49 pm I'd go for a c650 but service costs are a concern....thinking a 17 plate burg 650.....
I'd get exact service costs from the dealer for a 650.
I recall the 400 burger major service being £600 when I had one (though mine did lead a hard life and I recall enough water in the air filter to fill a swimming pool)
That's why I like 21st Moto at Swanley service charges for all Honda's are on the wall by the service desk so you know what it'll cost but if it doesn't need doing they won't.

Re: BMW C650 GT
Similar layouts, but the KYMCO has an internal WET clutch like the Tmax 530 & Burgman 650, which is bathed in engine oil, whilst the BMW has a buried DRY clutch behind the drive belt assembly, which uses exterior airflow to cool it and extract dust from wear on the shoes, like the Silverwing 600 and Aprilia SRV 850 and Gilera GP800...

There again, the CVT belt doesn't need replacing, saving at least £100 in parts + labour every 12,000 miles or whatever. Just as well I guess, as whilst its a pretty easy job on the Tmax, I think the Burger would require complete dismantling!!Meldrew wrote: ↑Wed Jan 02, 2019 5:00 pm ... and an extra 16kg of weight. Aren't major services for 650 Burgman's expensive too. Unless things have been radically simplified with the restyled 2013 onwards models. On the '08 Burgman I owned, major services involved a full day in the workshop.removing acres of Tupperware from the front end, draining coolant and removing the radiator just to get at the plugs.

Re: BMW C650 GT
The C600/C650 engines were a BMW design. Kymco was asked to build them. Immediately Kymco picked up several design flaws relating to transmission and engine components. These were made known to BMW who decided to still go with the flawed design. Kymco pulling hair out decided to still go with the flow to see what would happen. The rest is history.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Personally if was going above the new range of 300 Cc scoots I'd go for dct or full geared if going newish .

Re: BMW C650 GT
Hey guys, looking at a C650 right now. Just curious whether anyone has a heated jacket cable setup that they can share? On my current bike it is under my seat left side so i can connect when i sit down.
Secondly- anyone found a way to Quadlock phone setup? The C650 i am looking at has a BMW nav mount which i will remove is it simple to use that place as an attachment?
