Just to say that I have joined the group. I sold my first Burger 400 last month but started to miss it the day after it went out of my garage. Replaced it today with a 2009 an400K8. Just got to give it a check over tomorrow then it,s back on the road , if this one is as good as my last one ( which was a year 2000 model, ) then I will be well chuffed.

Thanks all you guys for the words of welcome. Took a good look at my scoot today. Quite a few of the plastic panels have the fasteners missing, I will try and get a few from my local Suzuki guy in Burton on Trent. Not too confident they will have any though. Does any member know where they might be available from? Another thing I noticed is that when I raise the seat it just falls back down when I leave go of it, I expected there to be a device on it to provide a prop to hold it open, was I expecting too much I wonder.?

I got some fastners from eBay...
Plastic push rivet type
Some for the Yamaha, and some for the SH, packs of 10 or 20 quite reasonable - for spares in the top of the tool box

Look on the Fowlers Parts Site https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/ for the part number,
If they are really expensive, you can always try the number in eBay...
Pattern parts or posted from china if ya not in a rush...
again, can 'prolly find the part number for the strut and get a replacement on part number / length / fitting etc

Thanks for that Paul, I will get onto EBay for the fasteners. I take it from your reply that my problem with the seat not staying up is due to a faulty strut. I will remove it and take a good look to see if it,s something I can fix before binning it.
