Is the 560 the same engine in the new bike as the 2020?

Its always been more or less the same engine from the beginning, though with a continous series of upgrades and slight capacity increases. There certainly haven't been any major changes since the upgrade to 560cc in 2020 (the mk7). The updates for the mk8 have been more about extra electronics - TFT screens etc.

Cheers. I thought as much.

Been watching some Max Tremo vids on you tube and he’s got his 560 down to around 3 secs 0-60. I’m mesmerised 😍

Lol

Fun...but if you really want that sort of acceleration, it'd probably be cheaper to buy a sportsbike! There again, I think the latest Tmaxs can do 0-60 in around 5 secs I think (early ones were around 7 secs), which isn't hanging around. With auto scoots, you can probably get as much of a performance improvement from playing with the variator as from the engine, though I think recent Tmax variators are pretty well sorted. When I got my 2017 mk6, I was very impressed by the middle range 'shove' it gave when overtaking, which is probably as useful than acceleration from rest.

It’s pretty std. Think he’s only using a malossi multivar.

I’m no stranger to performance bikes. The scoot is always a second / third bike.

I do like the sleeper factor with a quick scoot though.

Sleeper factor indeed. Can't beat a Maxi Scooter in the urban setting.

I love it when the lights go green and you pull away, everyone expects it to be a 125cc and you leave them all for dust.

Its not so much fun 'up North' as you might think - drivers round here are basically asleep 90% of the time, so when the lights go green they take anything up to half a minute to react, so whilst I'm gone at the first hint of green, its rather like a one bike race!
