I need to replace the oil seals on the front forks for the MOT, but on one of them the screw in the bottom which is threaded into the metal bit inside is just spinnin, so you can't slacken it or tighten it .
I've tried everything ranging from counterbores to torx drives to try and hold it from the other end, but they just dont have enough grip.
Has anyone got the proper tool you use to hold it? You can only seem to get them in the US, but I'm not keen on 2-8 week delivery.
Otherwise, advice/banter/slagging off is welcome.

Check on BurgmanUSA site, there's a knowledge base section and I think I remember seeing something about having to hold the inner section in place to release the lower bolt.

Re: Burgman Front Forks Dismantling Problem
I tried everything I could to try and hold it but I guess there just wasn't the friction.
I got my local garage to do it with an air impact wrench it worked . Didn't think it'd have the inertia.
