Fuel consumption

Post by peelbrow »

As a newbe I am curious to know what fuel consumption I can expect from my 650 Executive. My last bike was a honda Deauville which returned 55mpg but I don't think I am even approaching that with the Burgman. What say you experts out there? Ken

I've seen one owner with siggy links like mine (Poldark) showing 62mpg average which I think is very good for a big heavy 650. Don't know if that's normal though, but should be similar to your Deauville I'd expect.

I do not check often on my 650 but yes, about 55 i think, if VERY gentle with the right hand almost 60-ish..
but no fun in that.

I'm getting 13.5 miles per litre (taken from dash readout). Don't know what that is in English.

Thanks, that's why I mainly use the YBR250, that's now doing about 100mpg,

Averaged 54mpg in 7,000 odd miles, which I don't think is too bad for a machine weighing around 240 kilogrammes. I am a quick rider and tend to be heavy with the right hand, (watch it Barry), where conditions and limits allow.
