Returning to maxiscooterdom

Post by Maxsymuppet »

Hi. Just joined the site because I thought it was just up my alley. I used to be the proud owner of a Burgman 400 (five years from new) till a potentially expensive problem with the fuel injection caused I suspect by a tank of contaminated fuel from a well known supermarket. No names but be warned that the tales you can find on the net of people having problems with their engines after buying fuel from a supermarket I think are true. I wanted another Burgman but I couldn't afford a new one and a used one wasn't available at the time. So I accepted a good deal (considering my beloved Burger was by then a non-runner) on a used Honda SH300i. It's good but it ain't no Burger. But I recently came into some money, enough for another new Burger, which I intend to buy in March. I'm looking forward to it.

Anyway, hello all you Maxi Muppets out there. I love group rideouts so no doubt I will see some of you sometime. I live in the West Midlands which is in a good part of the country to reach other areas without too much travelling. See ya!

Welcome to the Muppets. I live in Birmingham and have just bought a Burgman 400 myself. I've been on a couple of rode outs and they are a great bunch. Someone recently mentioned a monthly Sunday meet at a pub in Stoke Prior nr Bromsgrove when better weathers here.

Hope to see you on one soon.

Burgers are good and tasty and satisfying if a little stodgy but the new Italian dish, the Piaggio X10 350 may be worth a try.
Or if you enjoy oriental cuisine a Kymco Downtown 300i is quite exquisite.
