Looks like from January,2013 you wont beable to ride a MP3 LT on a car licence,you will have to take a bike test.

2006/126/EG
Affects driving licenses issued >= 19.1.2013.
Article 4 number 2 + 3.
But article 13 number 2 states, that licenses issued before may not be restricted.

Having read the new law it does not appear to have changed the definitions of types of vehicle so why are you assuming that the LT will be out?
