Now A mini Muppet As well!

I bought myself this little beast to go with my GTS 250 today...

It's a SYM Tonik 125 (though it's really 111cc). It cost me just £1599 though
I sold the C90 for £600 so in a way it cost £999 new, with 3 years warranty!

I've only done a few miles on it so far and it happily cruised along at 45/50mph.
Hopefully it will be up to mid/high 50's once everything loosened up/ worn in.
I quite enjoyed the ride, it was a lot quieter than the GTS. But the GTS windshield
directs wind right into my helmet! It has small underseat storage, only fit a half face
helmet but it also has two carry hooks to make up for this.

It's has tiny 10in 90/90 wheels and a short wheelbase so it's quite manouverable.
But then it's light and doesn't have quite the planted feel the GTS has. Due to
the small wheels, small wheelbase and the fact it only weighs 97kg!

I love the display... Simple speedometer, fuel guage, odometer, high beam and indicator lights.
Also the fact it has exposed handlebars and no horrible thick plastic fairing, that on my prior
SYM's faded/bleached badly after a while. Another nice feature is built in indicators rather than
lollipops. Plus on the front just above the indicators are position lights that will at least help improve
my visibilty to cagers.

Nice little scooter, I like the fuel filler location and the red caliper is very sexy.

Very nice mate. Just the job for local trips and I would imagine it will be very cheap to run :)

Nice little scoot, should be great as a local runabout. How come can Sym give 3 year warranty and the big guys can only manage 2 :?:
Pete

Vespa GTS300 Super for practical runabout, Triumph Tiger Explorer for conquering the planet. Car almost obsolete.

Thats my mum's car! Though the colours are indeed the same!

I've taken it out for a quick in town spin and a quick blast along a
B road and i'm quite impressed. Naturally it's brilliant in town and
on the open road it will reach 80kmh (50mph) without me even
realising! I'm hoping it'll do 55mph+ once it's worn in.

One thing I keep doing though is lifting my feet up and forwards...
Then wonder who's pinched my floorboards... then I remember
it ain't feet forward!
