SH @ 2500 miles...
Engine oil change - oil drained on the side stand out the Thimble Filter Screen / Cover Plug - a mess free drain and gets all the oil out...
Filled with 850ml of Castrol Fully Synth 10w30.
Transmission oil change...
Filled with 120ml / 130ml of Halfords 10w40 Motorcycle and Scooter Gear Oil, using a large syringe, 'till the oil dribbles out the fill hole.
Checked the coolant, and greased the front spindle...

Re: What have you done to your Scooter today?
Just installed a SEGER 136dB horn on the Tmax. Easy, 5 minute job!
http://www.scooterwest.com/items/?_page ... l-136/1910
It bolts-in in front, under the headlamps and above the front fender, on the exact same mounting stud as the factory horn. It takes 5 minutes to:
1.) remove the 10mm brake junction mounting nut, to move the lines forward for clearance to get the horn mount off its stud
2.) remove the 12mm nut holding on the horn
3.) let the horn drop down and unplug the twin wires
4.) cut off the lowest white zip tie holding the horn wires to the brake line to allow more slack
5.) cut the plastic pieces between the twin horn wire plugs to separate them, as the spacing on the new horn is wider
6.) line-up the new horn in place with the wires plugged-in, with the nut on the back of the horn loose to adjust it as high as possible
7.) remove new horn and tighten rear nut in the correct alignment
8.) re-install horn, tighten the 12mm nut and replace and tighten the 10mm brake junction nut
9.) test horn and be pleasantly surprised...it's a BEAST!
Super easy, super functional, I should have done this YEARS ago!

Re: What have you done to your Scooter today?
Well not all in one day actually, but over a week
Looks like it's going to need a new piston
All stripped and ready to go for Sandblasting
On it's return from sandblasting
Floor pan is quite rusty so decided to replace rather then patch up
Well it's buggered now
One load of parts from Germany, expecting another delivery on Tuesday
This is where I'm up to at the moment, clutch puller should be here on Tuesday so can finish stripping the engine. Then hoping to re-build that next weekend with new piston, bearings & Seals. Chassis & panel work is booked for spraying 18th April. I then have six weeks to re-build and test before first rally early June

Re: What have you done to your Scooter today?
Well. my COB LED Headlight arrived from hong kong today, about 3 weeks to get here
i was waiting for it to arrive so i could take front of scoot last time to do the brake bleed and refresh, and take a look at my mirror mount fixings, the mirror mount fixings on the bars looked brand new black and solid, but for preventative reasons i used metal putty all around the three post legs. that dried in ten mins and solid.
then bled the brakes using my home made brake bleeder, with the one way valve in it, just makes it easy to just watch the top and pump and refill.
then onto the bulb, i had already changed to a halogen at 700 lumens, yet thought id try the led version at 800 lumens, the pic below shows the two side by side yellow cob strip , cant really see there`s two ( low and high beam, so half is lit then both are lit for high beam) and has an aluminium cooling fin plate, AND 50,000 HOURS EXPECTED LIFE pics below.
and this is it fitted in the scoot
the bright white light is reflected upwards, yet there is reflection mirror at the roof of headlight, very visible and will test this evening when it gets dark for width and length of beam throw, but looks very promising for £3.30 delivered
will post an evening pic later, so wk 300cc owners dont go and buy one yet will check first but link here
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/381494234618? ... EBIDX%3AIT
so iv finished all the work on the 300cc now for summer , just seen a scoot id love to have but would have to sell the vision 110cc and the WK GTR300

Had it serviced, top box and phone holder fitted, good long ride, then a wash, polish and protected the metal bits. She is looking fine! A satisfying day!
