400 Clutch clean out / deglaze

Post by Chilly »

Can anyone point me in the direction of instructions as to how you clean out and deglaze the clutch? I'm still getting the squeal on setting off and I'm having to do the revving with brakes on think more and more often. I'd like to sort it properly for peace of mind.
I've a K8 400.
Thanks in anticipation
Chris

Follow this but no need to remove front pulley or rear pulley just remove clutch bell clean and sand clutch shoes see other videos for panel removal and re fit .If your not annal about torque specs use good impact wrench to remove /refit nuts if not you need torque wrench and holders

Data and I are thinking of meeting up sometime when the weather improves to deglaze the clutch on my burger, so if you're not too far away, perhaps you may want to come along as well, and we'll do them all together :) I don't know anything about it either, so Data will be my teacher for the operation.

Whereabouts are you hailing from?
