I mostly wear Arais and I've never had a problem with Pinlocks on those, apart from the stupid pins coming apart now and again.

I loved my old Arai Quantum...
I love my Tour X for Supermoto duties...
I've said it before - I wish Arai would make a flip front for commuters, makes so much sense when wearing glasses etc... I'm sure they would sell a shed load...
The Shoei flips are nice, but well overpriced...
But I love the fit of an Arai...

The pins can be turned which applies or reduces pressure depending on which way you turn them. The pin itself acts like a cam.
