After 4500 miles, the rear tyre on my 2013 Burger is squaring off and will need replacing soon. Its the OEM Bridgstone Battlax
Any one tried any other makes?

That's good mileage, i never got more than 3000 out of a rear on any of the three 650's i had.
I never bothered testing any other make of tyre as the local tyre place had the Battlax in stock.

Is it down to the wear indicators yet?
I've seen people throw away perfectly decent tyres because they were "squared off"

I was very happy with Michelin Pilot Sport SC, much more rounded profile than the Bridgestone, which to me seemed squared off from new! Not sure if Pilot Pure are replacement or softer option again?

I recently replaced the original Bridgestones (probably 10 years old!) with a set of Dunlop Scootsmarts.
I wanted to get away from the square profile of the Bridgestone rear.
Admittedly the new tyres didn't have much to beat but have improved the ride a lot.
Turn in is sharp and much easier but the biggest surprise is that 2-up handing is so much better - don't know why.

Thanks for all your replies re the back tyre.
I went for the Dunlop Scootsmart.
200 miles in - it seems to tip into corners more smoothly. As for the mileage, only time will tell
