I don't like Motorbikes but...

You can see why some people will buy one at £5795 as opposed to a Tmax at £8500 plus
http://www.motorcyclenews.com/news/new- ... confirmed/

p.s. whoever worked the exchange rate out is making a few quid. I think the Irish are getting ripped off at 9810 euros

I wouldn't buy one of those for £600 nevermind six grand.
Compared to a Honda NC750S its a steaming pile of crap.

Really? I think your telling fibs
Meldrew wrote:£5795 = €8141 not €9810, that converts to £6982. I don't think some people would choose to buy a HD over a TMax, anyone who wants a Harley comes from the opposite end of the biking spectrum and rides geared bikes. You wouldn't because you 'don't like Motorbikes', yet you're reading MCN.
No need for the calculations,, I just said the Paddies were getting ripped off!

Spectrum?? There are people who I know own Vespas and sportsbikes. Also a life long chum who rides a px200 and rides harleys on his regular visits to the U.S.
And into which part of this spectrum would you put Mark Horobags??

I get emails from MCN. I haven't bought it for sometime. MCN does occasionally have scooters in, you know.
I used to buy any motorcycle mag which had scooters in. Browse in Smiths,, then buy it.

No fibs, I wouldn't give you a single solitary penny for one.
Even though an immediate resale would earn me a tidy sum I would have to live with the knowledge that I had bought an HD, and that would be absolutely unbearable.

MCN rehash of HD press release wrote:It's also intended as a great blank canvass [sic] for customisation.
What, like the old Sportsters were a great blank canvas for customisation, in that you had to pay for the bigger fuel tank if you wanted to go further than the next petrol station, or the upgraded front brake if you wanted to actually stop? etc. etc.

No scooter is worth eight and a half grand, and however 'cheap' any Harley is it's still too expensive IMO.

I'd bear it , if it was a freebie

But the price was out of my league.
So i bought this WK650
I will get another maxi...one day!
If the Tmax was a similar price to that Harley, they'd sell a lot more to scooter people and motorcyclists alike.

Would take the board at Yamaha some serious balls to lower RRP in an effort to maximise numbers sold.

Test rode a few maxi scooters including the new 530 T-Max
Then I tried a Yamaha MT09 tracer and my old mk 3 T-Max is going, I will be picking up a new 15 plate MT09 Tracer on Saturday.
