After waiting for what seems like forever Suzuki have now released the 2017 update of the Burgman 400. It has been discussed on burgmanusa at some length and the reception has been mixed. The standout points for me are, it has lost a third of it's underseat storage (42 down from 62 Ltr's) slimmed down front plastics (less weather protection ?), 15" front wheel, which should be a good thing but unfortunately by slimming down the rear and staying with a 13" rear wheel it now looks aesthetically disproportionate to me. Also they have raised the seat height which could alter the feel from sitting on to sitting in the bike. In short I was really looking forward to getting back on an "improved" Burgman 400 but am now reserving judgement and may well look to another manufacturer.

It was a bit of a barge compared with original 400 so sporty look must sell more .

Despite having had two Burgman 400s I won't be having another. 42 litres of underseat storage isn't enough for me and if it has less weather protection this is another reason. Plus I want something with a little more power. I am seriously considering a Maxsym 600 when I change in march.
On the subject of underseat storage one of the pics shows two helmets under the seat. Unless one is open face I doubt it!

The Kymco AK550 looks good but unfortunately the dealers tend to be poor.

Can you please tell me who your local dealer is. The one that I spoke to, local to me was awful.
