Honda reckon the output from the Wave's alternator maxes out at 11.5 amps so there may be just enough headroom for the grips :)

Also from Honda is the fact that with the small bike (under 125) FI they fit since 2005 the bike can still be started with the kick starter when the battery is flat :)

All good news to my ears ;)

Been running the Daytona grips on the Wave for a while now. No probs and the alternator seem up to it. Mind you they are pretty warm and have only needed to use setting 1 for 90% of the time with nothing more than setting 2 in the really cold. Grips have 5 settings.
The other nice thing is they insist that you DO NOT wire to the battery but pick up from a switched live. Works as well !!!!

I pick up the front brake switch live, as per the Honda instructions, makes life simple.
Just fitted Honda ones to the Deauville, now I will probably be selling it, if a maxi scoot comes my way.
