My sister and her husband can't make this as he has chemo this week, so it will just be me. I'll try and meet up with you at the 1066 at around 10:00am and try to arrive before.

i have been meaning to attend this one for a few years now but unfortunately I cannot make it. As it happens I was in Hastings yesterday and stopped off at the 1066 cafe for a bite to eat. Not too may bikes there about ten, including mine. Recommend their vegetarian breakfast which whilst a little expensive at £6 was enjoyable.
If travelling down the A2 from M25 be aware of roadworks around Paddock Wood area which added about 20 minutes to my inbound journey time. Those of you who are going, enjoy the day and ride safe!
Yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery but today is a gift!

Roger, I went pass the 1066 cafe at 12.00 and again at 3pm, yesterday.
I was going to Eastbourne and Beachy Head ( to reenact Jimmy's jump in Quadrophenia).
Chickened out of doing it, how did you guess!
On Monday I will be down Hastings, leaving Maidstone Services M20 at 09.30 with the Honda Owners Club, we use a country route and park up on the top of the Town and get the lift down to it. Any guests always welcome.

We left Maidstone M20 services for the event, I was tail end Charlie with 5 motorcycles in front, riding in our slow relaxed style. We stopped at traffic lights where some power rangers decided to overtake me (on a Silverwing) but not overtake the rest of my group for some considerable time (many overtakes were available to them). Must be a scooter hate thing.
This year we parked near the west town lift and got that down to the old town.
If the event got banned I would not be surprised as the noisy bike exhausts did spoil the May day parade events for the majority of people and the promenade became an illegal show off drag strip.
Bike of the day was a BSA Beagle, not seen one for years.
