27/08/2017 Phil's Ride 2017 for East Anglia Air Ambulance

Last years ride was a resounding success with 29 bikes turning up for the ride (and there were 42 push bikes doing a different route too.)
As last year, the ride is in memory of a biker mate of mine in my village called Phil Beeton who was tragically killed in a non biking related RTA in October 2015. He was pronounced dead on the scene but his nephew was airlifted to Addenbrookes by HRH. You can see the interview at http://www.bbc.com/future/gallery/20160 ... link.email and whiz forward to 17 of 20. You can also see the news report 2mins 44secs in here
On to a happier note, last year we raised £6,205.22 and with everyone's help we'd like to possibly beat that. The [motor] bike entourage will be leaving Southery, West Norfolk from the Old White Bell pub at 12.30pm on 27th August 2017 and will make it's way to Blakeney which is where Phil and his partner Jane used to visit often by bike. The ride will be about 3.5 hours long (maybe a bit longer) and return to the pub in Southery where we've a Hog Roast laid on as well a live music into the evening.
Although sponsorship is desirable, it's not necessary as you can just chuck some monies in a bucket. Just being there on your pride and joy to enjoy the ride is the requirement.
The Facebook page is at "https://www.facebook.com/PhilsrideEAAA2017/" for all the developments, poster, sponsorship forms or you can email me on david@fatblokeonamoped.com or philsride@southery.com
All welcome.
Cheers, David
