It's a similar thing regarding engine oil my srv has the same motor as the aprilia mana yet the scoot is recommended 5/30 but the bike 10/40 ,this can only be based upon airflow cooling of the bike is greater than the scoot . Fork oil in the gp800 srv850. Book states change evrery 2 years ,not on your nelly ,due to the hammering the forks take the oil turns to piss water in a year and the damping disappears . Aprilia tried to address this by using a thicker oil and a bigger air gap ,yes the ride was better but the oil lasts no longer due to its work out . I put it down more to our bad roads working the forks more .Back in the day we used bits of broom handles or 2p,s to preload springs then engine oil to give the required damping for racing .
