You say you don't ride in wet weather, neither did I until I found out about Stockman coats, (http://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/stockman-wax-jacket ) cheap as chips and really good for keeping the weather out. You can also hook them round your legs with a Velcro strap which makes them ideal for scooters.
