Vespa GTS 300 Headlight adjustment
I took my GTS 300 for it's first MOT test on Saturday as it's 3 years old shortly. It passed but I was advised that the headlight aim was a bit high. I need to lower it slightly, I have noticed a small, difficult to get at, hole under the light, does anyone have any practical advice on adjusting it. For example will I be able to get a tool in there without taking the scooter to bits? Also what tool is it, screwdriver, allen key, torx?? I don't want to start faffing if it's a bigger job than I expect as it's too cold! It can wait until it warms up but if it's simple I'll do it now so I don't forget!

You could just let some air out of your front tyre, that should do it!

Good plan, will it work if I put more in the back?2wheelover51 wrote:You could just let some air out of your front tyre, that should do it!

Smeg, IIRC it's a Philips on mine. Torx and Allen everywhere else. My beauty is locked up for the night in the garage but I'll take a look tomorrow to be sure.

Yep that's right. Just checked mine and it's inset in a big hole that you can only reach with the horn cover off. It's easy to remove Smeg, I expect you've had it off already. But if not, just carefully prise out the badge on the horn cover and under the screw. The cover will then slide up and out the top if you turn the bars on to full left or right lock. You can then see better and get a drive in the hole.
