New Xmax 300 owner

Hi all,

New here and new maxi scooter owner having previously had a Suzuki vstrom and an old Yamaha diversion.

New bike is a 2017 Xmax 300. Shows a lot of potential, but I'm currently stuck in the run in period! 4.5k rpm restriction is slooooow! And at 20miles a day it'll be a good month or two before I can truly open her up.

The only other issue is the full beam. At present it's far too low to be effective. Hopefully the dealer will be able to alter this, although being an led I'm not sure if this is possible.

Welcome. Let me know how your get over with the full beam: in my view it's not fit for purpose.

Otherwise, it's a good bike. I've done 4500 miles on mine now and while it doesn't excite, it certainly gets the job done.

Thanks all. The dealer seems to think the full beam is adjustable so will be taking it down to them when I get a chance.

Depends a lot on gradient but about 45-50mph.
