nice! was dreading it's 50 km/h and my commute is on a motorway for 8km so that would be a nightmare untill the scoot is run in!

is there alarm and immobiliser standard on xmax 300? Apologies if this was answered somewhere but not a word on yamaha website

Yes, I had this issue when I tried to insure one of the first ones in the UK.

It has an immobiliser but not an alarm. The keyless device incorporates a secure immobiliser that meets EU standards.

For me 4,5k is closer to 40mph but it's a brand new engine so probably needs to loosen up a little. Also I tend to stop on 4500 revs as opposed to going above and easing back down if that makes sense.

And yes can also confirm the immobilizer only (although also didn't confirm in time for the insurance).

Ah right, now once I knew for sure about the immobiliser what I did was to check how much the insurance would have been if I'd been able to confirm it had an immobiliser. Then I cancelled the first insurance and took the hit of an administrative charge.

I still came out ahead though, by about £100
