Tjscoot could you give a 'seat of the pants' description of the ride with the shocks fitted. Very interested.

Over 2k miles the OE rear shocks gave a pogo stick effect over even slightly bumpy/uneven roads and bottoming out on just slightly potholed roads. Poor surfaces going into corners gave a very unstable/worrying/wallowing around bends. This was getting noticeably worse with the mileage increasing.
The new YSS shocks still only have preload adjustment,, which I haven't changed, only ridden 50 miles so far but over known local roads the ride is smoother, much more controlled, and no bottoming out even with a very heavy load under the seat.
A BIG improvement.

Hi TJSCOOT hope thats the same for my YSS shocks just ordered for a silverwing.

We need a new mid price/size scooter with a proper swinging arm in the UK as our roads are going to pot literally.

If only some of the 300`s had that.

Best Mark.

No idea about how the OE Xmax 300 shocks perform, but the ones on my 400 work perfectly well.

My question to tjscoot was a general one as I have a xmax 300 but I don't recognise any of the issues he had. I'm generally satisfied with my suspension and would have to try one with an upgrade before changing mine.
