So after ignoring people (nothing personal it's just me ) I derestricted my Sym and as predicted by pretty much everyone it made next to no sodding difference, still only does 40!!!!
Only cost £25 for the CDI so I ain't too heartbroken.
Anyway enough about that and down to why I wrote this post, the Sym is being replaced!!!! I decided to follow everyone's advice and go for something with more displacement and after a lot of deliberation, looking through posts etc I've gone and got myself an SH125.
Now it's not the tidiest but then again I didn't pay a lot for as it's my first venture into "bigger" scoots.
It's a 52 plate with 19500 miles and 11 months MOT and I only paid £520 so I'm pretty happy with that, now just to do my CBT which will come shortly, looking forward to it though, I'll let you know how I get on as soon as I get it done.
Here's the only picture I have at the moment, it's from the eBay ad

Please let me know what you think, I'd be happy to hear people's opinions

Looks like it just needs a bit of time & 'elbow grease' to me, getting the black plastics from dull grey to shiney black will transform the look, enjoy your new ride bud
Have wheels, will travel

Congratulations on the "step up" or "step thru".
Hard to tell from the image but sounds a good deal and if it has service history a bargain.
I'm sure Richie 1st will be here like a rat up a drain pipe to extol the SHs' virtues

Good Choice...
I would recommend an Engine and Gear Oil change...
And a good clean of the Air Filter... Replace if really grotty, but a brush out always helps...
No matter what the book and service records say... that way you have a start point for how it runs...
Best tenner you can spend... Might have enough change for a can of Tesco's - Mr Sheen-a-like...
Good Luck on the CBT... Steady Eddie...
Enjoy

Btw the link is not safe for work. The bike image is fine, but the rest of the site around it maybe not the best thing to open in the office.
