Hi,

I will be selling my TMax soon regardless, it needs stripping of vinyl wrap, a good clean and couple of items serviced. However if I only have to give up my license short term I need to some how look after the NC750X whats the best way of doing this aside from the obvious keep the battery charged?

Thanks
FC

Even if it's off road for 3, 6 or 12 months?

Declare SORN
Notify insurance... Possible issues with insurance if licence has been revoked... Maybe change to theft only?
Ya not miising anything with the Snow, Ice and Cold
Take care...
Back on it for Summer - Fingers crossed for ya mate... Which is easier without a clutch lever...

I have to say that running the engine for 10 minutes is a very bad thing to do. It will just generate water through products of combustion and condensation. Charge the battery every couple of months and possibly over inflate the tyres by 5 psi. Store in as dry a condition as you can. If you are forced to store in damp conditions protect the shiny metal bits with something such as ACF50 or even just Vaseline.

Bikesure offered me 'layup' cover when I took my trike off the road over winter. It's basically theft and fire only but as they wanted around seventy pounds I decided not to bother. I left it on the Optimate and topped up the tyres as previously said, it seems to have come to no harm !

I'd fill up the tank so condensation can't form adding water to the fuel. Also using a fuel additive is a good idea as modern petrol has a short shelf life. Check tyre pressure is up to stop flat spots, and if you do run it , make sure it gets hot (run it till the fan kicks in). Also keep an eye on the battery.

Adding fuel would be difficult but I think I filled it right up the last time I rode it, then did 13 miles.

Probably a good thing to add a slug of Stabil to the fuel in the tank as it helps to stop corrosion, condensation etc. My trike fired up fist time after a few months lay-up
