Foresight at 80

I parted with my Helix 3 years ago and after a brief ownership of a Burgman 400 (sold last week) pined for re-acquaintence with a Helix not realising they had become scarce as hen's teeth, it was thanks to 'The Bern' on this website for information leading to the purchase of a scoot having similar credentials to the Helix but being a touch smaller and lighter by 6kg to the Helix. Due enquiries were made and the purchase confirmed of a '98 Honda FES250 Foresight having just 5,500 miles from new and looking as new in red colour. While awaiting its delivery by Peter Shaw of http://www.motorcycledeliveryservice.co.uk I've ordered a rare find, a new-in-box Honda Foresight Backrest, also an all encompassing Givi/Foresight windscreen. Perhaps soon my wife who is small in stature will be able to try on the Foresight for fit, the Burgman was so large, high and heavy that dear wife could not negotiate it making it a somewhat 'White Elephant' and superfluous to requirements especially at our senior ages.
I'd post a photo but it is rejected as being too large, (I suspect that is the reason so few photos are shown?)

PS This is written from my Ipad where my photos are also stored....

Hi Jim sounds great, and quite a find. Super low mileage.

I`ve ridden one and quite nice and comfy too.

Happy new scoot.

Best Mark.

Hi Bern,

Yes, I'd thought of these....I have a pair for the Burgman that never got fitted, other Burgman accessories I have include perfect condition 400K8 windscreen, Burg 400K8 Handlebar wind deflectors in Black, no damage.

Mark,
I'm really looking forward to riding this scoot, your experience ties in with others I've read, my hope is that the Foresight will be all that the Helix wasn't, namely the Helix's problem of leaning to the left as soon as hands were removed from bars. I only ever rode one that was perfect - that was on a demo trial run down the A2 in 1989 but it had already been sold by the dealer.

Happy riding

Jim

I've been looking for a resize facillity so that my Foresight's photo can be published..... whether this works or not - we'll see....

Jim
Darn it - photo reduced by 50% in all directions - STILL TOO LARGE!

Have we just invented a whole new field of enthusiasm - classic Maxi-scoots???? Will people shortly be prepared to pay silly money for early Tmaxs in the way that others now pay ludicrous sums for Yamaha FS1Es???

Whether this works? We'll see - obviously not.

Well guys I have no idea what happened here- but here is my lovely Honda Foresight, I can't wait for it to arrive - together with another (running) for spares.
