Silverwing Malossi clutch ?

Hi as I will need a new clutch and clutch bell/drum at some point fairly soon, does anyone know much about the malossi one.

Or anyone had one.

I don`t mind a few more revs at set off but I don`t want the drive to dissengage over the usal 2K point which I like, so it holds on pretty well before letting go if you will.

Anyone know the drive and let go point with a malossi Fly Clutch please ?

Many Thanks Mark.

I think you will find that the bite point is dictated by the type of springs you select from the kit supplied ,from past experience the stronger the springs the longer the clutch slips to reach full bite in turn allowing faster harder reving .

Thanks so is the bite point about the same as the let go point ?

Or is the drive let go goverened in other ways.

I think it comes with the white 10% stronger springs.

Thanks Mark.

Stronger springs will cause the clutch to disengage quicker than normal springs , so if it engaged and disengaged at 2000rpm with the standard softer springs and you fit springs +10% then it's bite point will move to 2200 rpm .

Hi Thank you, you would think it would be the same point.

As I often seem to just be at the edge of loosing the drive, good as a malossi clutch may be I think I`ll look out for a 2nd hand silverwing std one and a bell/drum. ( anyone ? ).

I`ve got the 26gram sliding DR Pullyes to go in at some point so will be getting better acceleration from those hopefully.

While on ayone used those ?

Anyway very much appreciated Ferret.

Best Mark.
