Nearest I think is Shelley's in Cromer, which would be a pleasant ride along the coast road or use inland roads via Fakenham (faster but not very scenic)

Tomorrow night I'll be in a B&B in 'Lynn, during my 'spare time' I'll check out that + a camp site in Fakenham & a barn/campsite in Deepdale.
Deepdale campsite is quite good and you can get a good breakfast at the cafe attached to the site. There are a couple of good pubs within walking distance. Fakenham has a campsite on the racecourse which I have never been to but I have used the Old Brick Kiln site at Barney just outside Fakenham. It's a nice site with a restaurant on site but no pubs within walking distance. One of my favourites, although basic is Blue Skies at Wells-next to sea. It's only a 10-12 minute walk into the town / quayside and there are several good pubs in the town that offer good menus. Hope you enjoy your rideout tomorrow as the weather looks good!

Blue Skies at Wells-next-the-sea, bugger, didn't realise that was there, is it OK to put a few tents on a single pitch ?

I have not specifically asked the question. That said I believe some of the pitches look bigger than others, so who knows they might!

I looked at Golden Lion but fully booked as are most caravan sites (school hols for the dustbin lids ) so might try late rooms just before the weekend.

As a last last last resort there might be a tent in the lock up

Just phoned Blue skies about availability and price per tent . he is phoning back later .
But thinks there shouldn't be a problem for that date .

His reply
He has no pitches for the Saturday but he has reserved 3 pitches for us on the Sunday
We can get 2 or 3 tents on one pitch.
At £15 pp
If you are interested phone them asp and tell the you are with the Maxi Muppets group .
If there is know interest in this camp site within the next week or so i will phone to cancel the pitches.
Hope this helps .
