Has anyone found a make of tyre which DOESN'T 'cup' and wear unevenly on the offside, on the front of a Mk4?
The OEM Bridgestone did it and had to be replaced before the rear; and now the Michelin PR4SC is doing it.
Wheel bearings and steering head bearings are fine.
Tyre pressures are kept spot on.
Wheels are in line as far as I can tell.
Damping feels firm and fine.
Never have much liked the feel of the Michelins, tbh - no feel to the steering, and bad white-lining...

I only had the problem with the Bridgestone SC Eco - never had the problem with the non-Eco Bridgestone SCs or the Michelin Power Pures. Didn't have the Michelin PR4s long enough to see how they wore, though they were fine when I sold it. B.stone are now selling SC2s, for those with deep pockets.
Never had a problem with the feel of the PR4s myself - not that different to the B.stones. The ones that felt different were the Power Pures!!

I had a big problem cornering with the Bridgestones because of the strange wear pattern on the front and so did a friend on a 650 Burgman. But I have had 2 or 3 PR4s and they have been fine. Cornering is predictable, as it should be.

And as baffled as ever, then! Maybe I've just got the only duff PR4 ever made...

I was trashing front tyres, what I think I was doing was pushing to much the bars to make the bikes
turn into the corner, I now lean the bike into the corner more and let the bars take up thier natural
position, this seems to have cured it.

I have the same issue on the mk 3 just fitted a new front this time I'm going to try more rear brake as I use front first followed by rear don't know if it will work

To an extent its a characteristic of later Tmaxs (at least from mk4 on) that the front tyre seems to wear more than the rear. Several people have mentioned it. I've recently noticed that the front tyre on the mk6 is in the autumn of its life, whilst the rear still looks OK.

Something I've never experienced before on any bike, ever!
Needs someone far more expert in suspension geometry than me to come up with a reason...

My mk3 has metzeler feelfree tyres, the front has hardly worn except some slight cupping whereas I had to replace the rear due to squaring off. Its used almost daily and I like to 'make progress'. They aren't expensive tyres and I really rate them highly both in the wet and dry for grip, feedback and stability.
