Yet here, the 125 reaches 76, and the 300 with only 24.5bhp reaches 90 - apparently genuine speeds measured by GPS. How come????
Slippery bodywork perhaps? Or journalistic licence...?
I know my 125 will cruise happily at an INDICATED 70 plus without being flat out; but of course that's not the same thing at all...

Perhaps Honda gave out some slightly upgraded ones on the test day! Presumably they could tweak the programming of the FI computer pretty easily!

Forza 125 always been a fast scoot that does over 70, my grom and benelli tnt 125 did 65 on a good day, some of the tuned 180s getting 80 so no doubt they have the 300 sorted, if i had the moneyi would get the 300 if it fitted me ok and i was not cramped so need a seat on one before i decide. Its all i would need, getting bored of nakid bikes now and oiling chains and changing gears.

The old Forza 300 was a tiny thing, so I guess that there is a chance that the new version will be bigger and better as it will be same as the 125?

Yes plenty of room on the 125 - legs stretched out in front if required. I find the ride quality a bit harsh for my 11st/71kg; but the handling and braking are excellent. And the front tyre doesn't wear funny...

A mate of mine is planning to get one as soon as he can so I hope to be able to tell you quite soon.

At a guess, from looking at the figures, I'd say it'll be slightly slower, have slightly better mpg and the electric screen could be a nice addition.

For me though the clincher will be how good are the headlights and rear suspension compared the Yam.

I never understand why headlights aren't the best that can be achieved on lots of bikes. Scooters are used to commute a fair bit and great lighting should be a given.

Although most people's commutes are in urban areas, which are normally lit, so the effectiveness of the headlight is not something you notice! When I was commuting, I never needed main beam - in fact, on the Bev, the (dip) headlight bulb had a habit of blowing, which I never even noticed until it went in for MOT!

Defscoot, make sure you test one first 100% as its a swinging engine rear end, not great on the bumps.

There are lots of posts on Forza forums of people trying to get better shocks etc to try to help on that front.

As they seem to be putting so many eggs in the Forza basket why not go all out and sort the rear end properly with a swinging arm.

Best Mark.

PS £5k odd is pretty good value though same as the Syms and Kymco`s !!!.
