Its a bit complicated in Goa, the rider must wear a helmet on A roads but not around town (B roads). A pillion doesn't have to wear a helmet on any roads, and when I say a helmet , most are cycle helmets. I guess its the same in all other Indian states?

As for India Marks right and I still have the receipt for my £1 fine for not wearing a helmet on a main road.

A new helmet out there was £6 with all the safety rating of a Tupperware lunch box

I gave my caberg flip to a local who was less than impressed to be honest (but no doubt he sold it on)

A S/H lid is also handy left attached to your bike in case you carry a pillion & if nicked who cares
