Never owned a Peugeot, but rode one, a Peugeot 150 Elystar, as a courtesy loan, that was a decent bike.

That's what I had, the 150cc.velocipede6295 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 9:12 am Never owned a Peugeot, but rode one, a Peugeot 150 Elystar, as a courtesy loan, that was a decent bike.
Bit underpowered for the capacity but quite fancy for the time. It was also just about the only thing you could spec with ABS back then aside from (I think) the Silverwing and the 'Burger. It had a Honda-originated engine, whereas the later Satelis was more or less an X9 although there was a supercharged 125cc that was fast but fragile. My dealer had the same engine in a Jetforce - a riot to ride but needed constant tinkering.

Hi
peugoet scoots built by sym, I was gonna get one after my 1st vespa 300 sport was nicked and the second one written off by a peugoet van ( yes ironic ) and read up on it, looked at the sym products and got the 300 joymax great machine.

I tell a lie, I forgot, I have had a Peugeot scooter, a Peugeot Sum Up 125 - mind you it was easy to forget. 7.5 bhp, made in China, ( I thought they were French and made in France) Didn't like it and quickly got shut.

ah right peugeot scoots. my ex wife had a speedfight wrc 50cc. I think they made a 100cc but we never got it
speedfight was a competitor to the aerox. you could really mofify the hell out of the aerox
yamaha also made a REALLY beautiful and sleek 125cc maxster. wow, the stance it had was really nice. for the time, it really stood out.

The bigger Pugs are generally made in France but the smaller in China or Taiwan. So both Sym and Baotian are in there, with the Baotian ones being particularly poor.
But Peugeot have more or less abandoned maxi scoots now with only the 3-wheeled Metropolis still around. And AFAIK, they don't have a UK importer anymore either.

Hi...
I had the first version on the XMax400 '13 plate non ABS... PX'd the XMax250 for it - More Torque, More Go...
XMax400 went, PX'd Sept '19 for a NC750X DCT... Got a '20 SH125 as well
Enjoy ya ride

Re: Hello from X Max 400 owner
Thanks Paul, I agree the 400 has a lot more go than the X Max 250 - had one of those as well. I had an NC 750S last year, and liked the engine a lot which has a lot of low down pulling power, it also handled well. I still fancy a 750X DCT as a future bike.
How is the suspension on your 750X DCT - I found the forks on the S very hard and jolting. The X is taller and may have longer forks, with a softer action.
What year is your NC, and how do you find fork action, and the DCT gearbox?
