If i can i will fill up my 3 litre can and take it with me. The mower needs some fuel soon anyway.

Fuel is available here, but not all the time. I do expect it to calm down soon as there is only so much fuel one can stockpile.

Motorway services are being prioritised, so expect Birchanger services near you will have fuel albeit expensive.

I am hoping it calms down for the weekend, or next week sometime.

We’re going to avoid the bad weather as it’s due to blow over on Saturday. Sunday looking quite good. Dry and sunny although blowy. Should be a good trip out. icon_looking-good.gif

We've had the Pie and Mash ride through deep floods. Nothing stops us.

Hope everyone has fuel. Situation is starting to improve. Managed to get the car some diesel today.

Looked at the weather data and charts and Sunday looks dry with an outside chance of a shower.

Chris, I've got a cold! Hit me Wednesday evening. Did a covid test just in case that was in there too but I'm clear of covid. Symptoms a bit better today but I'm not sure as to whether I can come Sunday. Depends on whether I'm going to be infectious. Head is not feeling like it wants to explode anymore so I'm hoping all will be ok. Just trying to work out where I got the cold. It's the first one I've had for over 2.5yrs. Both my wife and I are extremely careful who we have contact with and we are still not going out like we would in normal times. Using lots of hand gel and not touching our faces is the norm. I did have treatment on my back at a clinic on Monday but that's a heavily controlled environment with lots of ppe etc. It's a possibility I got it there but the symptoms showed up a bit early for me to have picked it up there so who knows where I collected it. Clearly I was careless somewhere. I'll keep you posted. I may have to be relegated to the back of the pack when riding and sit outside eating my pie & mash although if it's that bad I won't come!

It's cause you haven't had a ice cream at Bentley recently.

You could be right Chris! Ice cream cures everything...so I've heard. But seriously, I don't feel like shite today like I did yesterday, so there is hope. I have read that colds and flu will pose more of an issue this winter as we have lower immunity to most of them since we have all been locked away. I have my flu jab in a week or two so hoping that will keep most of the flu lurgy away! I vaccinated the Vespa with a good dose of E10 ready for Sunday so she won't get the dreaded empty tank syndrome on the ride out...just needs me to be ok!

You may have to donate the fuel if you can't make it.

Pie and Mash is medicinal you know...
