Peugeot XP400

Post by MrGrumpy »

Peugeot follow the Honda ADV350 with the XP400..

Odd looking thing....two underseat storage areas! 36bhp, but a hefty 231kg. Apparently made in France rather than China.

I want it!

Video here -

Albeit narrated by a robot, it sounds like.

The Kymco may have to accidentally fall out of a window by next Spring.

They certainly have a UK presence with dealers, but who the importer is, I don't know.

Quite. Their corporate site has a link to the UK site but does not say who the importer is. A whois lookup only shows that peugeotscooters.co.uk is registered until next year but not by who (as far as I can see). I therefore suspect that Peugeot Moto are directly importing.

I have a horrible idea MotoGB are behind Peugeot scooters in the UK. Someone took over after Three Cross failed, and I remember that we weren't impressed!

It's MEWA Distribution UK. They took over from Three Cross. So far they are looking good.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Been riding for 54 years & owned too many bikes to list here...

Thanks for the information about distributors Data. I took a look on the UK website and came up with this gem in the description of the Metropolis
Developed by our engineers and manufactured in France, this new engine that develops 35.6 hp and a torque of 38.1 Nm offers the best power in its class. Its low-end torque boost further enhances driving pleasure. Thanks to its LFE * technology based on a double link on bearings, it reduces noise emissions and consumption. The result: exceptional driving pleasure and easier insertion in traffic. * with low friction
(my highlight)
... and avoiding friction is so important!
