Group ride: Copdock Motorcycle Show 2023 - Sunday 3rd September - Really disappointing turnout

I am organising a group ride to the 2023 Copdock Motorcycle show at Trinity Park (Ipswich) on Sunday 3rd September.
It is hoped that we can meet up and ride in numbers as a group to the event.

The ride will be starting from Widford Church car park on the A414 at 08:50, avoiding the local A12 works, going through Chelmsford picking up the A12 at Boreham and on to the next pick-up point J28 (A12) North Colchester BP station/McDonalds. After a brief stop we continue on our way via the A12 and A14 arriving at about 10:00am.

It would be great if riders from London and surrounding areas could meet me at Widford. Anyone else is welcome to join us at any point along the route, the more the merrier! Just wave as we pass and join the group.
This ride will be 125cc friendly

Hi Mark, You've been before I'm sure but for those that haven't, The Copdock show is pretty good. Well worth a visit. You can happily spend all day there. I went with our friend Harvey who used to be on here last time & a good time was had. Although Harvey isn't on here now. If it's not chucking it down count me in. If it's chucking it down it gets incredibly muddy so likely won't go. Getting fussy in my old age.

Yes Data, I went last year and thoroughly enjoyed it, brilliant sunshine all day
Funnily enough, I spent a lot of my time watching the kids on their electric off-road bikes going over the assault course, I just thought it amazing how young some of them were and having electric bikes they only really had to concentrate on the obstacles and hone their skills without the complexity of gears etc. As a kid I would have loved to have that opportunity.
My bike was still being run in then and I got a picture from the official photographer on arrival

I’m going to be a maybe at the moment. I live just a few miles up the road, Felixstowe. My wife retires in July and having just bought a camper van we’ve not yet firmed up travel plans. I’ll let you know for sure in a month or so. I’ve met Chris and Ian before so would be nice to meet a few more of you.
