Hi I just bought a s/h Suzuki UH200 K8 to replace a non ULEZ compliant car for a 10 mile round trip commute.

I'm new to scooters.
I also have a toy - a very anti-social road registered 1980 Yamaha IT425 enduro bike.
A long long time ago I rode big capacity sports tourers until a bad accident forced me to take a break from 2 wheels.

I really like the UH200 - it's quick enough and the storage compartment is great for supermarket hauls,. The IT just comes out when I feel like being obnoxious now.

Welcome! I had to google UH200 but I see it's a Baby Burgervan so I know what it is now.

Good choice :)

Blimey, did you have to avoid low bridges with that screen?

It was ace! The whole riding experience was almost completely devoid of wind noise or wind chill.

I wish I could claim credit. I bought the scoot with 700 miles on it and thought it was standard fitment until someone told me.

yes - it is a good machine - not too impressed by the fuel economy, but then I haven't measured it really.

My Yamaha 425 does about 25mpg - at least it's better than that I guess...

Four times better, hopefully.

A UH should be averaging 100mpg whether it is a 125 or 200.

I'd say the general rule of thumb for modern scoots:
- 125cc around 110mpg
- 200-300cc around 85mpg or more (my Xmax 300 used to give 95mpg)
- 400cc around 70mpg
- 500cc - around 60mpg.

Obviously your journey profile and weight of your throttle hand will be a factor. ;)

Happy to be corrected, if anyone thinks I'm a bit out :)

I used to have a Honda Dax 70cc - that was quoted as 140 mpg - I got a real world 100 mpg from that.

I see UH200 users reporting low 50s to low 70s. My GFs diesel SUV gets close to the lower end of that.
