Hello from the English Riviera.

Post by black fingernail »

Hi, from Devon, I have just acquired a 'barn find', WK 300 GTR.
I'd better tell you the story, as I understand it.
I work at a motorcycle dealer as a mechanic / MOT tester, in 2016 a customer bought this bike and just stuck it on the back of his camper van, he neglected it badly, mechanically, it overheated, it didn't want to start very often, the fuel was continually left to go stale, and so on. a year later, the bike was returned to the shop and hacked in for something else. The mechanic at the time couldn't be bothered with it, the manager just wanted it out of sight, out of mind, so it was consigned to the 'shed' luckily it wasn't really a shed ,but a dry building.
And there it languished until being re-discovered by me, in January 2024.
I pulled it out of the shed, thick in dust, showed it to the new manager, and for a joke, I offered him £50.... I now own it.

A bargain indeed!

A fair few folks bought those when the distributors hacked the price in half to shift stock before Euro 4 came in.

Take some photos, please. We'd love to see it, and its progress going forward. 8-)
