What to do with near perfect weather, a day to myself and a full gas tank... head out on the road to find a treat.
On HWY 119 heading into Townsend, MA.  I was so taken by the sun filtering through the trees and creating such a glow of green color I turned around after passing by to get this shot.
While I passed many ice cream stands I pressed on as it was my intention to find a refreshing treat in Townsend.  As luck would have it my persistence paid off, welcome to Cherry Hill Ice Cream.
Heading west on 119 through the Willard Brook State Park.  Road speed isn't too fast but like much of the New England area the roads were wildly twisty and for once devoid of heavy traffic.
Pulled over at this campground to take a look around.
So relaxing to sit for a bit and listen to the babbling creek nearby.
My Nighthawk playing hide and seek.
Time to head back down the highway.
Stopped to take the liner out of my jacket and this two pooches snuck up behind me and started barking their lungs out.  I almost jumped out of my skin.
A very nice day with near perfect weather, a great area I hope to explore again soon.

Wonderful pics. Those guys look like they mean business! I was thinking only the other day, that we hadn't heard from you in a while!

Great photos Dan, there's not much that can compare with a ride in that sort of weather for an ice cream to make you feel good.

Where's the picture of the ice cream to prove you got an ice cream.

Here you go John...
The shot was blurry so I didn't use it for the report.
