Uglies meet the Pretties, July 17th.

Just got back from a very good turnout, considering what the weather was threatening prior. Us' Southerners were very fortunate on the way to the Super Sausage Cafe, rain held off, and thanks again to Martyn for a cracking route to the meet. Coming home we weren't so fortunate, and at one point the M1 resembled a scene from the film Perfect Storm, but we got through it safe and sound. Food was very good, and quite rightly the cafe was very busy as a result.
Lovely to meet the ugly bunch, and i can't say that the name is really deserved, but the boys seem happy with it. No photos from me personally but there were plenty of others snapping away, so there'll be some eye candy later on, i'm sure.

My first Muppet meet and i only decided about 10.30,so rode up the A5 after leaving home just before 11,i arrived just gone noon and settled for a tea as i had a late breakfast.I sat next to one of the older farts Dave Weller and his dinner did look good,the weather held out for us while we talked and studied each others machines.I rode home via the A5 for a while then headed toward Aylesbury,see a sign for A4146,then headed towards ivinghoe ending up at invinghoe beacon for ice cream,then back through the grounds Ashridge College,meeting up with the A4146 again for the final part of the journey.

There were a couple of faces i already knew,but it was good to meet some new ones.

rain didnt hold off on the way back - as i got to Aylesbury the heavens opened & it pissed down, not quite as bad as on the way out but still bad enough & kept it up for most of the way home - still was worth it to meet everyone again

Well done lads looked like a good turn out,good range of different bikes by the looks of things,it rained here all of yesterday then this morning but then went really nice, i felt left out not being able to go out with you guys,so went out for a 3 hour run up here.

Weldone to all, looks as if you had a good meet...I got up as i said i would at the crack of dawn and it was Hissing down. I wated until 9.30am and it had not let up, so i called it off. Not that thr rain puts me off as a rule but feeling like shit i thought nice weather would help...I WILL be on the next meet..Good photies BTW..
