May be a long shot but I'm looking for ideally a Honda Helix but would consider some other oldish interesting Japanese 250 scooter. Its for my Father to pootle around on (the Honda Reflex I gave him got stolen) only looking so spend 1k but may be up to 1.5k for the right bike. If you have or know of anything be grateful if you could drop me a line.

Don't mind travelling, I live in London, Father lives in Swindon as long as I can get to a train station and ride it back - which I rather enjoy.

If you've got £1000-£1500 to spend on a Helix have a look at Italian eBay for a late model one. A grand will pretty much buy you the nicest official UK one 1989-1993 you could find here.

I already had a look on italian ebay, didn't find much, Germany seemed better. Don't mind flying over there and riding back but not to keen on the paperwork that goes with it though . Presumably I would also need to buy a new headlight for the right side of the road? Good condition Helix's do come up in the UK just rarely.

If not Helix, then thinking about either AN250 or YP250, circa 2000 vintage The Suzuki seems to command a higher price but I prefer due to larger wheel size. On Majesty just look a lttle dinky (is that a word?).
