We will be spending a week at the caravan in August. The site is at Bielby near Pocklington. I'll be taking the GP for day trips out. If anyone wants to meet up from 14th to 21st let me know.

I don't understand people who tow a caravan to go on holiday. You cook and clean a house for 50 weeks of the year, so the 2 weeks holiday you get you do the same, WHY?

I lived for a whole year in a titchy caravan when I worked on a small farm in Wales.

The van is actually stored at Lakeside, Bielby. We don't have to tow it.
The wife takes the car and the stuff we need for the week. I go up on the GP.
As for caravan holidays. It was cheaper and easier with the kids. Granted the towing of the caravan could be a pain down to places like the Loire valley or the Vendee. But once there with the awning up it was more relaxing with everything you needed close at hand.
Traffic could sometimes be a problem, but there is always an empty road in front of me.
