I went for the scoot as I just knew if I indulged my motorcycle mind I'd end up getting frustrated with gear changing when filtering in heavy traffic -though dropping a cog to overtake on country roads etc would have added fun factor - how often do I actually get to do that??? I'd get sick of having to have a top box, worrying if I get a delivery at work I won't be able to take it home on the bike, having nowhere but the top box to store wet weather gear and bit and bobs. Nah the scoot made far more sense to me. here here

Quote: Money no object, would you still ride a scooter? It is, I do (Well, I'm not exactly made of money - but I think I could find a way to buy any bike if I wanted it badly enough). And yes, the GP800 is that good.

I understand how Loony and others feel. To have the scoot of your choice and something with gears fills my dreams. So to that end I have just bought a Kwacker VN 800. (1998). Also I need to do serious maint. on the Tmax. so that mean still have somthing to ride!

Have you ridden one yet? they are mad MAD i tell you they will pull your arms outa yer sockets in a straight line. The Rocket 111 is better than the ealier models but still not good at bends. Oh! and don't drop one if test ride one...

I wish, on 33hp auto licence at the mo, no my friend had one for a little while, sounded like a diesel with the Standard Exhaust, sounded like sex on wheel's with the loud pipe's he put on it. Eventually sold or part ex'd it for a Yamaha R1, as the running cost's were a little high for him as were the servicing cost's, not to mention the weight as well. Love to test one though, but have to get a Full Manual licence for that.
