Why are Suzuki so evasive re drive section malfunction as described frequently on forums, eg judder on 400 etc?
There is no reference to service requirments in the owners manual except 12000km inspection of belt 24000km replacement.
Should we be concerned? :(

Having looked at clutch on you tube vids its no different to what its everbeen and woulnt put me off getting one so easy to remove clutch bell and clean it.Where it does differ to say silverwing is its fitted on the end so when on side stand dust is trapped where as silverwing is other way so on side stand excess dust could fall out.I recon if you leaned burger to opposite side and gave final drive a clunk with a hammer once a week you could keep it clear. Its a bit like brake drums on cars they collect dust and you get squeals on them.I think riding style has a bit to do with it as well more revs and throttle on take off on a big single helps .You have 2 things going on clutch is trying to engage which in turn is slowing the engine which only fires every other stroke.Thats my opinion anyway. On Italian 400 silverwing forum they drilled 4 holes in clutchs to lighten them which in effect is same as fitting stronger clutch springs so engages higher revs when engine is running smoother and thats a twin so problem is not just with burger Julian

You don't say which model year, but wasn't there an admitted problem with K7 400's and the clutch/rear pulley which resulted in a recall modification?
Check VOSA and the paperwork you have with your bike (you did get some?)
