Hello

Post by honda fairy »

Newby here hello to all
Riding sh125 due to old fes250 giving up ghost, it was my 5th one and parts and insurance getting more expensive plus age and weight (bikes not mine) getting heavier.
Previous stuff, giving age away here
Cb500/4
Rt100
650 BMW old twin pot
F650
850
Rd400
Cb500
Ntv650
Fes250 X5 love em but parts getting scarcer and decent ones hard to find.

Just gotta keep going, too much fun to ever give up.

Welcome.

Modern bikes do seem to have a weight problem. I guess that's the price of progress :(

Sh125

Looked at others before I bought sh but couldn't justify weight to power on Forza 300 plus it's no different to old fes 250 in mpg. but about 50kg heavier. The 125 Forza was ok but overpriced I thought. Blade honda at Stratford gave me good px for old fes and sh got heated grips, bonus in winter as I do ride all year round. Have to have automatic now, joint issues, physio said it's all those years riding bikes.
Many of past choices to do with my height which is always a consideration.
Had few other bikes, used to like the xbr500, single cylinder bikes easy to maintain and quite enough power plus good on fuel, slim and small.

This looks good site as plenty of knowledgeable people on here and with a bit of luck and following wind we may all get out and about with summer :P
