I guess im stating the obvious when I see the lineage for the Helix/Fusion/Spazio/CN250 from the CH250?
Is there a historical model photo gallery section that I am unaware of on this forum? It would be great as a reference point for young bums like me to catch up on a bit of scooter history . Perhaps divided into year by year and muppets drop a photo of each model that they own/ owned perhaps with two lines of info written about each machine dropped into each year group until each year has some content ....Just a thought.
Just a few of my stable of horses:

Back story to the Lead 125: in ‘83 I had a birthday present from Dad, it was a white Honda NH80 Lead, I rode it some 12,000 miles before its engine expired, had it re-built by ‘Honda Dealership whereafter it ‘self destructed’ after less than 100 miles so it went into the back of the garage to remain there to present (I’ve got a replacement engine to fit sometime.

I had a yearning for NH125 Lead which was introduced in 1984, eventually I bought one in very poor state 6 years ago, stripped it and rebuilt it like new then sold it 3 months later (stupid boy!) that bike was white. 4 years ago I bought another - still in need of much work which I brought back to near new condition which is the one pictured and is still ‘on the run’ that’s white also albeit with Honda red and blue banding on the front, had a new MOT four weeks ago, it’s a brilliant scoot really & a real keeper!

2 years ago I was lucky enough (Thanks Jaz) to get my second Helix on which I’ve done a lot of work replacing two tyres, clutch and cvt belt, ignition and all key locks, rear body panel (old had damaged lugs); next the bike goes in to repair workshops for crankshaft replacement as I’m too lacking in energy to DIY the job which is about where we came in.....

The white Honda CANOPY is made in Japan by the million but never officially imported into UK, it has 3 wheels, powered by 49cc Honda two stroke engine and capable of 30mph, use in Japan is for deliveries and it’s often called a Pizza bike.
For my wife’s birthday pressey this year this is what I bought her for local shopping, it goes well, has electric & Kick start, screen wiper/washer. In use the whole body leans just like a normal bike while the two rear wheels stay on the ground.
It is collectable because of its rarity - and will become more so as years pass....Why?

Back in the ‘50’s there was the Messerschmitt bubble car, a cute little thing capable of about 60 mph, 2nd hand ones could be found for £250 or so.....there are still a few about in UK and overseas but regular prices today are upwards of £20,000 according to condition, many spare parts are available through the Messerschmitt Parts-Mart service.
They are a real Collectors Item here and in Germany especially.

Just spoke to dad, about nh 125 lead, he bought mum it new in 1984, but mum had a big scare on it in 86 (they cant remember what) so they px it in 86 for my first bike an Rd 50 mx2, I had no interest in scoots then so had loads of bikes since last being a hyabusa which I sold about 10 yr ago...... lost all interest in 2 wheels until recently, with me travelling M1 and through london and the new ULEZ charge coming in, my diesel car have to be replaced with a maxi scoot of some description.....

TC Very interesting about the NH125, I find it very enjoyable to ride, it is capable of 50 mph but these days one has to keep an eye open for potholes which the 10” wheels don’t like.
Unfortunately our dear old Helix would not meet the new ULEZ restrictions and travelling in the Zone on one would cost a bomb so for LONDON it’s NO GO.

Anywhere BUT London is a good place for the Helix - and look....they’re coming out of the woodwork.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274490229736

This one could do with a re-paint on dashboard and trunk!

Yes Andrew it’s the same bike & same colour OEM, its called ‘Candy Glory Red’.
I bought a 3 part rattle can touch-up kit that does both the Helix and the Foresight.

Candy Glory Red almost sounds like a porn star or a type of appple :) not quite as wierd as the Mitsubishi my father in law had which was a strange blue colour called 'Winning Turquoise Pearl'... I kid you not
