That’s a bit of nonsense, restricting a 4Hp 50cc Trike having a wheel track of 18 inches with max speed of 30mph, perhaps I should label it CAUTION - UNSUITABLE FOR BANK JOBS ‘ Anyhow I bought it for dear wifey and it might arrive next week...

Sh125paul, , yes it’s CANOPY with roof, screen and wiper, twin h/lights, elec & kick start, and a beautiful white job.
Catherine is not 68 - she is 86!

That’s what he means restricted to 30mph so can be ridden on car licence as a moped .
No cbt needed and no L plates .

Get some photos up when you get it as they look cool 8-)

MF, yes like that - more or less, except that its got a built-in large rear box instead of a platform, twin headlights, round speedo (in Kms) and its got the 2 stroke engine, but its still a really beautifully put together piece of engineering.

Who would think I’m biased? - of course not.....

Ive got quite a few photos of it but they aren't accepted on Muppets as too large - and I’m not able to reduce size - AND SAVE into my iPads Photos.

And for unknown reason the iPad is refusing to give me access to photos when I attempt to read and download a pic to Muppets,
Its been doing that since the last IOS upgrade download! Bother, bugger, and all the rest!

- This IS my Gyro CANOPY but not me in photo, I managed to nick 1 photo from my file - after that the Oz prevented access!

Jim

I am currently dealing with DVLA to get clarification on moped licensing. I am doing this on behalf of C90club forum.

I have a feeling that any advice given on here may not take into account the fact that the gyro was never officially imported into the UK.

Therefore, although its bhp and capacity may match the requirements for category P mopeds (pre 2013) if it wasn't registered as category P and given a moped ID plate, it will fall into the A1 light motorcycle (& tricycle) category.

Although I am dealing with the DVLA officially on the moped query, I don't mind throwing in the odd specific query afterwards to see what they say.

If you like, I can get all the information from you, and table the enquiry to get you an official answer.

Let me know, but don't expect anything quickly. ;)
