If that's the case, and just because his name is on the deed doesn't mean he necessarily has ownership, I don't think that alters anything. It was a safe place to go where he could get his child looked after if required and get away from the threats and media.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Yes and both under very different circumstances to Mr Cummings from what I have read. However, you can't rely on anything you read in the newspapers.Whatsisname wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 8:23 am Durham police have fined two different people for driving from London to Durham since the wanderlust overtook Cummings.

Not really....as I understand the crucial part of the guidance / law/ whatever is that if you or a family member have symptoms of the virus, you are supposed to self isolate at your home (presumably for the rich, whichever one you were living in at the time...), NOT drive across the country. To me that's the crucial point - you were supposed to stay at home not go spreading the virus up the A1 - its not that important who owns the property you travel to.Stibbs wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 8:28 am I know a few of you are debating the rights and wrongs of Cummings (and doing it civilly which is nice) but have you seen the latest news? It appears old Dom didn’t visit his parents house no, it was his. Documents from the land registry confirm the home belongs to one “Dominic Cummings†it appears he visited his second home!!!
Now that does the alter the dynamic quite considerably I’d say.

And,despite even this, he'll still get away with it. Why? Because Boris is merely the puppet; Cummings is the one pulling the strings.Stibbs wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 8:28 am I know a few of you are debating the rights and wrongs of Cummings (and doing it civilly which is nice) but have you seen the latest news? Yep, it's a civilised debate, and nothing wrong with that.
Ultimately irrelevant in the end, though, except for an insight into members' political leanings.
I "attended" an online funeral service recently. Sad, but extremely weird at the same time.
Crazy times, huh?

Must say I do enjoy hearing everyones views. Many interesting points made.
Sorry to hear about the online funeral service Capitano. At least it gives some form of closure.

Knowing you were entirely safe in your job, well we/he know`s he is, Why would you not apologise etc and ask people to keep to the rules.
For the good of the people
Not flirt with deception etc.
And totally bugger up the publics trust and solidarity in the face of Covid.
Actually costing lives.
A simple apology and some remorse. would of engendered respect too, and saved lives as well.

But Dom doesn't do apologies - it would mean having to admit that he wasn't right all the time. And Boris is just too thick and so lacking in human empathy to realise that one might be needed!

Not wishing to get political but just thought I'd post a link at the bottom of this post to this rather interesting video concerning Mr Cummings...interesting for those of course that want to know more about the truth of the matter!
Pay particular attention to Dr Jenny Harries specifically stating that someone can break lockdown for the purpose of worries over childcare and sited other things too. Note the date she did this was on lockdown day as everyone will know, yet chose to ignore.
Worth also noting the Guardian newspaper (not a lover of the Tories) and the Daily Mirror (or was it the Sun?) both carried front page news stories with photographs of the lying toads that made up false stories/evidence to try to not only convict Mr Cummings of breaching lockdown, but to carry public opinion against him. Both admitted to lying and making it all up. They did this for no other reason than they didn't like him so thought they would try to destroy his career. To date those lying toads have not faced criminal charges for wasting police time, of for defamation of character. Frankly because of the seriousness of the claims, wasting of public money and unnecessary distraction they caused, they should be prosecuted in my opinion.
Don't anyone take this post as an indication as to how I vote. I don't particularly like or dislike Mr Cummings but I like to see fair play.
I just wanted to try and illustrate how the press coluded and weaved a considerable string of lies and half truths to try to destroy a man and dupe the public into going along with it all. How Mr Cummings socialist neighbours behaved towards him during and after this whole incident has been disgusting too. All because of a total press conspiracy done simply because they don't like him, and the fact he doesn't have daily press conferences at number 10 any more like many of his predecessors did. Since his time in office a raft of totally untrue stories have been run in the media, and disproved pretty much each time. Trail by media is the new normal though and we are poorer for it as mob rule becomes the way things are done.
Worthy of note and as named in the video are the 5 labour MP's who totally broke the law by breaking lockdown to visit parents, go to birthday parties, and many other such reasons, and who have not been sacked or even called out by the mainstream press or their leader Sir Keir Starmer. He runs a two faced double standard party, apparent by what he has said about the whole thing and since he now knows the truth has gone strangely quiet, as has everyone else. But then, they were duped by the media and those lying toads just the same as everyone else...oops! Just thought this whole thread by Stibbs was very interesting regarding folks views.
