SYM Citycom 300i

Post by Deleted User 1756 »

Hi all It is with a heavy heart I am posting this but I am selling my citycom as I no longer use it, I have found it is more difficult to see as well as I could and I am getting slower on it.It is near mint condition as I dont take it out in the rain or cold,it 2011 and mot is 11 months long and 10700 miles, with all of the oils changed inc the forks and coolant, belt has been checked recently and has little or no wear on it.Tappets checked and new plug and front tyre,I have ordered a new screen for it which will be fitted next week, rear rack but not box as its not mine.Grab a fantastic bargain at £1200 I have also posted it on facebook Maximuppets with a picture.

Spindal, I'm sorry to hear of your eyesight woes! It's not much fun barrelling down the road at 60mph if you can't see where you are going! Not wishing to pry, but is you eyesight recoverable do you think? I went blind in 2006 but had immediate surgery and got my sight back. Only to find later I developed cataracts and angle glaucoma, which again sent me nearly blind. I had a total of 4 successful eye surgeries a couple of years ago which cured both conditions making it possible to carry on driving and riding. It's surprising what they can do these days.

Anyhoo, here's hoping the best for you. I'm sure someone will take the Citycom off your hands quite quickly. You don't have to go though. Stick around if you will and join in. You never know you could still come out on the odd ride out from time to time if you like. Maybe someone near you can pick you up on any ride you fancy.

Bests...
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Been riding for 54 years & owned too many bikes to list here...

Thanks for the concern,I have just found that my eyes are at the point now where I feel that I am safer going slower,I have not had enough time to think about treatment but feel its time to let go of it, what with age eyes and living in west wales with no one to go out with I feel it is time now.

Its a good scooter that got no attention and few sales. Looked a bit like a bulked up Hd200

Good starting price for a durable scoot.
Sorry to hear about your eyes.
