According to Visordown they will launch both their X-ADV rival and a 3-wheeler with the AK550 engine. Neither rocks my boat, but I know some of you will be interested

Re: 26th November is Kymco Day
Well - the 3 wheeler is news.
To go off on a Kymco related tangent, I monitor their dealer network on their website out of curiosity after it used to contain utter nonsense. To be fair to them, the dealer network now listed looks a lot more believable than it used to. However, there is not a single Kymco dealer anywhere in NE England or North Yorkshire - my nearest dealers are in Doncaster or Huddersfield - both around 70 miles or 1.5 hours drive away, or failing that, Dumfries in Scotland! So whilst I'd happily consider several Kymco products, the chance of me actually buying one seem very small.

Very curious - to score a Kymco deal you have to know someone who knows someone and tell them that 'Dezzie sent me' !!!!bikerdezzie wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 7:16 pm Motech in Newcastle might be able to source them if ya ask, ask for Mark!

Well it works for multi million £ government contracts, so why not for a scooter?

And there'll be the F9 electric bike too, apparently.

Re: 26th November is Kymco Day
Electric F9 details are now out. Its a huge disappointment for those of us hoping for a BMW Evolution beater. Just another urban short range scooter very similar to KTM's. It might even be the same scooter. It seems so difficult for design innovators to accept that scooters are a practical everyday transport for the majority of owners who simply want range, speed, and luggage capacity. Style again triumphs over substance. True iconic design starts with boring practicality and ends with massive worldwide sales over many decades, yes the Honda step through!

Yes, 68mph, 75 miles range and zero storage aren't worth clicking on the link for. But here it is anyway

And the "adventure" scooter. Or maybe you could describe it as a Downtown 320 with knobbly tyres.

Yes, the 'Adventure's scooter - see
https://www.visordown.com/news/new-bike ... unced-2021
I find it deeply uninteresting! Why make it? Why base it on a utterly ordinary swinging engine scoot that probably can't handle a badly surfaced tarmac road let alone a muddy track! Oh - Adventure things are trendy, so we'll put some knobbly tyres on and call it a 'crossover'.....

I think the F9 looks quite fun, if entirely impractical!
