Beverley 2021

Post by StephenC »

Looks like some big changes due next year.

26hp 300 and 35hp 400, with Bluetooth and keyless, 5.5" LCD, LED lights all round, etc.

Strange...it looks more old fashioned than the current version!

I did enjoy my last 350 Beverly and will be taking a look at the 400 closely. With all the electrical upgrades does it make it a better bike? I did like the oil clutch take off, it was very smooth at building up speed.

Hopefully they have solved the coolant leaks that plagued the old models. They also seem to have the same seat with the horrendous hard bum stop .

I just found the last one so uncomfortable, and the handling to be pretty awful - quite tricky to ride. But did it motor!!!!

I loved my 2004 B125, looks pretty much the same stying wise as the original 500.

Same here. I had a B125 (2004) which was a great bike.

Some motor! i had a 2013 BV350 for 3 years. ended up overheating it and warping the head, despite it being a warranty claim. it never was right after that. had a few niggling electrical issues. did i mention that engine :) it took me and my better half all across scandinavia without missing a beat. i'd love another one but i suspect it doesn't quite cut it as a 12-13k a year commuter workhorse. i've always wanted to try that engine though in the MP3. i think that would be a hoot.

Fighting talk  from Visordown in their latest article:

All bikes are A2 compliant and the 300 makes 25 hp and the 400 35 hp. That’s not bad numbers for a bike of this shape and should make the new Beverly a nippy wee machine indeed. Torque is equally good, with the 300 making 19lb-ft and the 400 27.8lb-ft. It’s not going to be worrying anything geared, although is more than enough to leave all that silly four-wheeled stuff behind at the lights.

I'm almost tempted to get one now, just for the Traffic Light GP in central London one day. I'll fit a pizza box on the back first though, for the full shock effect.
